چکیده
Abstract. Water stored beneath the Earth’s surface, known as groundwater is a major water supply for living things. The increase in human population leading to high urban development and industrial needs Malaysia has made use of more critical. current issue faced by limitation freshwater source from dam resulting increasing demand gather fresh groundwater; hence, crucial exploitation groundwater. Therefore, this study aims evaluate storage (GWS) using Gravity Recovery Climate Experiment (GRACE) Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS) data Peninsular Malaysia. GRACE consist information on liquid equivalent thickness covering terrestrial (TWS) GWS, soil moisture (SM), snow (SWE), surface (SW). In comparison with GLDAS data, they only hydrological products SM, SWE, SW. differences between are most likely reflect GWS. Due seasonal monsoon, changes GWS can also be seen specific months. addition, used identify important areas that need improvement attention. output expected help authorities monitoring recharge discharge future preservation quality. Moreover, excessive observed prevention land hazard phenomena, such subsidence.

متن کاملSatellite Images for Monitoring Mangrove Cover Changes in a Fast Growing Economic Region in Southern Peninsular Malaysia
Effective monitoring is necessary to conserve mangroves from further loss in Malaysia. In this context, remote sensing is capable of providing information on mangrove status and changes over a large spatial extent and in a continuous manner. In this study we used Landsat satellite images to analyze the changes over a period of 25 years of mangrove areas in Iskandar Malaysia (IM), the fastest gr...
